About

Hello! My name is Wako Morimoto, and I'm currently in the San Francisco Bay Area, California as a Logistics Analyst at Tesla. I graduated from UC Berkeley after studying Urban Design and Data Science, and I plan to enhance and use the tools I've learned to make places more resilient. I think the word "resilient" means many things--transparency and accuracy in information, recovery after natural disasters, and equitable access to education--to name a few. And right now, I'm a part of an organization committing to making places more resilient through sustainable and efficient energy usage and management.

Living in Japan until the age of 12 influenced my perspective on urban design in different places, and learning a new language in the U.S. taught me the power of storytelling. I am a firm believer in words supported by numbers and a life-long learner of languages, be it Java or Kiswahili. This portfolio assembles some topics that shape my identities which I often don't get to share on my resume or cover letter.
