Himeji is the home of one of the first World Heritage in Japan. Despite the increasing tourist population, the city suffers with shrinking residential population like many other suburban areas in the country. As the final project for The Social & Cultural Process for Architecture & Urban Design, three of my classmates and I designed a facility that provides space and opportunities for jobs for young generations. My main responsibility was to lead the brainstorming discussion to come up with the design idea. Afterwards, my main work were to determine the best location for the facility and executing the group’s vision through Rhino 6.
